What the service does
Mailproof provides a list of seed mailboxes, polls those mailboxes for messages that carry a test identifier and reports where each provider filed the message. Results are informational and reflect the state of the mailboxes at the moment of the check.
Lawful use only
You may use the service only to test email you are entitled to send: messages to recipients who have agreed to receive them, transactional mail, and your own correspondence. It is forbidden to use the service to prepare, tune or verify unsolicited bulk mail (spam), phishing, malware distribution, fraud, harassment or any message that violates applicable law or the terms of the receiving providers.
Logging and monitoring
Every test records technical data about the request, the browser user agent, the identifier, the sender address and subject of the message found, and the placement result. This data is used to operate the service, to prevent abuse and to answer complaints from mailbox providers or recipients. Messages sent to the seed mailboxes may be inspected if abuse is suspected.
Seed mailboxes
The seed mailboxes belong to the operator of this service. Sending to them creates no subscription and no business relationship. Addresses may change or be withdrawn at any time, and you may not add them to any mailing list or share them beyond the test.
Fair use
The number of tests per hour and per address is limited. Automated access, scraping of the seed list or circumvention of the captcha and limits is not permitted and leads to blocking.
No warranty
The service is provided as is, free of charge, without any warranty of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Placement decisions are made by the mailbox providers and can change. The operator is not liable for decisions you take based on a result.
Results and links
A result is reachable by anyone who has its link. You are responsible for whom you share the link with. The operator may delete results and may block visitors who violate these terms, without notice.
